♫ The Sounds & Blondfire live at Neumos, Seattle ♪ – Seattle Music Photographer- Kyle S. Ford

Since moving up to Seattle, I have been trying to make the most of it one way by going to as many shows as I can. Living in Ely, I had to take a day and a half off of work and would usually end up back home around 4 am after seeing a show in Las Vegas or Salt Lake. One of my favorite things is shooting the shows of my favorite bands because I have a terrible memory and the photos are a great reminder of how awesome it was. I find it’s easy for me to enjoy the show and shoot it as well. I’d like to find a publication to shoot for, so I could shoot more shows. I assumed that Blondfire was “bigger” than they are. I guess I assumed because Madison on Alt Nation seems to love them so much. Strange talk from down under opened, following them was Blondfire and The Sounds capped off the night.

One of my favorite moments of the night was while I was shooting from the crowd singing along with Erica and I caught the shot of her smiling looking right at me. I forgot how awesome The Sounds were live, I was taken right back to 2004 warped tour which was the first time I had seen them live. Despite having serious mic issues, Maja powered though like a champ and gave a hell of a performance. I think she sang into 5 different microphones by the end of the night. I hope she didn’t kill the sound tech.
